Green Plains Renewable Energy reaches 330 Mgy in ethanol capacity with opening of 110 Mgy plant in Tennessee

In Tennessee, Green Plains Renewable Energy said that it has commenced production at its 110 Mgy corn ethanol plant in Obion. The plant, which will be fully operational by the end of the month, will also produce 350,000 tons of distillers grains. The company now has 330 Mgy in annual ethanol capacity, passing Pacific Ethanol to become the country’s sixth-largest ethanol producer.
