In Oregon, SeQuential Pacific Biodiesel has commenced shipping biodiesel from the company’s expanded 5 Mgy waste oil, canola and camelina based biodiesel plant in Salem. The company’s previous facility had a capacity of 1 Mgy. The 5 Mgy capacity of the new plant will trigger a statewide mandate passed last year by the legislature that required in-state production to reach mandated levels before imposing a state B2 mandate. The company collects waste vegetable oil locally through Encore Oils.
