In Canada, the Canadian Trucking Alliance released a study on the impact of the national B2 biodiesel standard. The study highlights challenges with biodiesel storage, blending and transportation. The study concluded that biodiesel requires dedicated, heated tank storage systems, due to gelling and water-intrusion problems with the fuel. It also found that in-line blending at the terminal was preferable, but Canadian terminals are not so equipped.
