Biofuels Digest Index plunges 8.08 percent to 48.21 as broader market sells off

The Biofuels Digest Index™ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, plummeted 8.08 percent to close at 48.21.  Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) fell 14.15 percent to $22.14, shedding a series of recent gains,  while Biofuel Energy (BIOF) tumbled 20.51 percent to $0.31. Among small caps, Texcom (TEXC.PK) fell 38.46 percent to $0.08. Overall, declines led advances 2 to 1 for the day.
