Argentina to impose E5 ethanol mandate in 2010

In Argentina, planning minister Julio De Vido announced a national program for the use of Bioethanol, which will mandate a 5 percent ethanol content in gasoline sold in the country commencing in 2010. The president of CARBIO commented, “without a doubt, this Act will create an immediate impact in the the sector, and will increase the importance of renewable energy within the energy matrix.” (Note, link is in Spanish)
