Biofuels Digest Index jumps 6.96 percent to 52.74 as world markets recover

The Biofuels Digest Index™ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, jumped 6.96 percent to 52.74 as global equity markets advanced strongly.   Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) gained 7.53 percent to $26.70,  while Aventine Renewable Energy (AVR) recovered 30.23 percent to close at $0.56.  Among small caps, Gushan (GU) improved 12.42 percent to close at $1.81. Overall, advances led declines 3 to 1 for the day.
