Connecticut makes $350,000 in biodiesel infrastructure grants

In Connecticut, Governor Rell announced $350,000 in grants to seven biodiesel distribution firms under the state’s Distribution Facilities Grant Program, the supports companies that undertake projects to develop biodiesel infrastructure. Earlier this year, the Governor called for a waiver of the Renewable Fuel Standard over escalating food prices; the RFS mandates are a major creator of the US biodiesel market.  Recipients include: Magellan Terminal Holdings; Bantam Supply; Baribault Oil Company; Total Energy Solutions; Norbert E. Mitchell; Greenleaf Biofuels and Hale Hill Farm Biofuels.
