Biofuels Digest Index slips 2.05 percent to 50.57 as ethanol retreats

The Biofuels Digest Index™ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, fell 2.05 percent to close at 50.57 as ethanol stocks reversed gains made earlier in the week. Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) lost 3.91 percent to close at $25.10, while Aventine Renewable Energy (AVR) fell 12.50 percent to $0.63.  Among small caps, Environmental Power (EPG) gained 1.49 percent to $0.68.  Overall, declines led advances 2 to 1 for the day.
