Helius Energy’s combined heat and power from biomass program wins Scotish Green Energy Award

In the UK, Helius Energy won the Scottish Green Energy Award for Best Environmental Initiative for its innovative GreenFields project, providing combined heat and power from biomass at the Combination of Rothes Distilleries plan at Rothes-on-Speyside. A new project at the facility will convert Pot Ale, a liquid byproduct of whiskey production, into organic fertilizer.
