In Michigan, City of Flint, Kettering University and Swedish Biogas International have announced a partnership for a waste-to-energy system at the Flint Township wastewater treatment plant. The $8-$10 million project will produce power from methane derived from waste.
Flint observers hailed the “green job” creating move, noting that power and fuel derived from biomass is the nation’s most popular renewable energy source, according to new figures from the US Census.
