Australian motorist group pushes for ethanol mandates

In Australia, the head of the largest national motorist organization, the NRMA, said that alternative fuels and ethanol are a must for Australia, and applauded the decision by the New South Wales government to raise the ethanol mandate from 2 percent to 6 percent. The NRMA is reacting to complaints from motorists over high petrol prices, and particularly the large spread between diesel and gasoline prices.
