Biofuels Digest Index drops 1.95 percent to 52.37 as ethanol pure-plays plummet

The Biofuels Digest Index™ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, fell 1.95 percent to 52.37 as large caps and most ethanol pure-plays plummeted.  Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) lost 0.84 percent to $27.07, while Aventine Renewable Energy (AVR) lost 26.53 percent to $0.72. Among small caps, Global Energy Holdings (GNH) lost 12.50 percent to $0.14. Overall, declines led advances 16 to 1 for the day.
