Iowa releases annual energy plan with focus on biomass, wind industry development

In Iowa, the state Office of Energy Independence released its annual energy plan, which included a recommendation that the state develop a biomass industry to complement efforts in biofuels and wind production. The release of the 2007 prompted more than $1.1 billion in investment proposals for the state.
