In Zambia, Biomax said that it may invest up to $50 million in the next year for commercial palm oil biodiesel production. The company said that it has set up a $30 million biodiesel processing unit in Ndola, in the north of the country in the Copperbelt Province, and would investigate the establishment of a $50 million plant in Nchelenge, near Lake Mweru in the northern province of Luapula, where it would establish contracts for oil palm with local growers.
