Biofuels Digest Index gains 1.34 percent to 53.77 as selected ethanol pure plays advance

The Biofuels Digest Index™ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, gained 1.34 percent to close at 53.77 as selected ethanol pure plays and large caps advanced. Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) gained 1.23 percent to $28.70, while BlueFire Ethanol (BFRE) gained 12.68 percent to close at $0.80. Among small caps, Pacific Ethanol (PEIX) fell 21.74 percent to close at $0.54 Overall, declines led advances by 5 to 2 for the day.
