Nebraska’s Husker Ag corn ethanol plant suspends operations; faling prices cited

In Nebraska, the Husker Ag ethanol plant near Plainview announced that the plant has suspended operations due to falling ethanol prices, after suffering $6 million in losses during the first 10 months of 2008. The company said that it expects to resume production by the end of the month, after it has renegotiated with its lender and corn suppliers.
