Suncor Energy delays $120 million expansion of Candian corn ethanol plant

In Canada, Suncor Energy announced that it has delayed a planned $120 million expansion of its 53 Mgy corn ethanol plant in Sarnia, Ontario. The company said that the delay would last for at least one year, and would push back completion of the expansion until 2010 at the earliest. The expansion would increase capacity at the plant to 106 Mgy.  The company blends ethanol into its Sunoco-branded gasoline.
