Emami Biotech commences production at 27 Mgy biodiesel plant; first in eastern India

In India, Emami Biotech, announced that it had commenced production of biodiesel at its new plant in Haldia, in West Bengal. The plant is the first biodiesel production plant in the far eastern section of India, and has a nameplate capacity of 27 Mgy. The project cost $31 million and was completed in collaboration with the Italo-Belgian group Desmet Ballestra.
