Biofuels Digest Index gains 1.55 percent to 51.04 on blue-chip advance

US markets were closed in observance of the Martin Luther King holiday. On Friday, The Biofuels Digest Index™ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, gained 1.55 percent to 51.04 as blue-chips advanced . Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) gained 1.26 percent to $25.62, while Environmental Power (EPG) jumped 10.39 percent to $0.85. Among small caps, Tiger Ethanol (TGEI.OB) soared 66.67 percent to $0.20.  Overall, advances led declines by 3 to 2 for the day.
