UK’s VTG Rail approves B5 biodiesel for tank cars; will study B15

In England, VTG Rail UK said that it had completed a year-long study of B5 biodiesel and found no adverse impacts on tank car components and interiors. VTG said that, based on the positive results, it would commence testing of a B15 biodiesel blend to ensure that tank cars can accommodate the higher percentage blends. Also based on the results, VTG approved the use of B5 biodiesel in its tank vehicles.
