In Washington, the outgoing Secretary of the Interior authorized the Bureau of Land Management to establish Renewable Energy Coordination Offices that will expedite wind, solar, biomass, and geothermal projects on BLM-managed land, and will accelerate the development and permitting of electrical transmission capacity to support power distribution from thee projects to metropolitan areas. The initial offices will be located in Arizona, California, Nevada, and Wyoming.
