New Generation Biofuels, First Florida Biofuels partner for Florida development projects

In Florida, New Generation Biofuels Holdings and First Florida Biofuels announced a Memorandum of Understanding for Florida biofuels development. Under the proposed agreement, the two companies would collaborate on the development of Florida-based biofuels, with New Generation providing technology and engineering, with First Florida providing marketing and securing the financing.

The New Generation process uses additives, rather than transesterization, to produce biofuel from vegetable oils. “We blend additives rather than creating a chemical reaction,” commented New Generation CEO Dave Gillespie. “That provides simplicity, and no waste steam. “We have customers at either end of the price vs environmental spectrum, but we can beats the pants off of biodiesel on price.”
