Winnipeg opens B10 muni biodiesel fleet station as part of transit initiative package

In Canada, the city of Winnipeg opened a fueling station for its municipal fleet, which will convert to B10 biodiesel. The project was completed as a part of WinSmart, which includes several transportation initiatives and has received support from Transport Canada’s Urban Transportation Showcase Program. The UTSP is a $35 million program that showcases alternative energy and other measures designed to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Winnipeg was selected as one of eight Canadian cities to receive support from the program,  which includes $2.2 million in funding for transit stations and other measures in addition to the biodiesel fuel station.
