MOR Technology debuts new corn oil extraction technology; energy efficiency of dry milling, high value add of wet milling, say developers

In Illinois, MOR Technology debuted its “2nd generation” corn ethanol based fractionation and corn oil extraction technologies. The company said that its supercritical CO2-based approach gives it a lower cost basis for extracting food-grade fractional products from corn. The company said that it can achieve product yields of wet milling, combined with the energy efficiency,
environmental impact, and capital/operating costs nearer to dry milling.
