In Washington, the Renewable Fuels Association said that the EPA has completed its required analysis of the Renewable Fuel Standard, including lifecycle analyses on various biofuels, but said that the analysis was in limbo since being forwarded to the Office of Management and Budget in the fall of 2008. The RFA said that a notice of proposed rulemaking will be the next step and could be released at any time. The EPA has not released details of its findings, which are rumored to be devastating to corn ethanol.
