Biofuels Digest Index plunges 7.72 percent to all-time low of 43.32

The Biofuels Digest Index™ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, fell 7.32 percent to an all-time low of 43.32 as large caps sunk under broad market pressure. Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) fell 5.33 percent to 25.24, while British Petroleum (BP) plunged 8.37 percent to $35.15 on falling oil prices.  Among small caps, Gushan Environmental Energy (GU) gained 13.08 percent to $1.47. Overall, declines led advances 4 to 1 for the day.
