Biofuels Digest Index jumps 4.44 percent to 46.37 on global market recovery

The Biofuels Digest Index™ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, jumped 4.44 percent to 46.37 following broad market gains. Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) leapt 6.47 percent to close at $27.50, while Aventine Renewable Energy (AVR) gained 18.18 percent to close at $0.26.  Among small caps, Pacific Ethanol (PEIX) gained 16.00 percent to close at $0.29. Overall, advances led declines 5 to 2 for the day.
