Biofuels Digest Index gains 1.84 percent to 48.62 despite possible Aventine bankruptcy

The Biofuels Digest Index™ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, advanced 1.84 percent to 48.62 on a large cap advance.  Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) gained 1.53 percent to close at $28.57, while British Petroleum (BP) gained 2.42 percent to $39.35.  Among small caps, Aventine Renewable Energy (AVR) fell 39.29 percent to $0.17 on bankruptcy rumors.  Overall, advances and declines were even for the day.
