Biofuels Digest Index gains 0.88 percent to 48.62 on ethanol advance

The Biofuels Digest Index™ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, advanced 0.88 percent to 48.62 on ethanol advances.  Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) fell 0.25 percent to close at $28.50, while Bluefire Ethanol (BFRE) advanced 17.65 percent to $0.60.  Among small caps, Aventine Renewable Energy (AVR) gained 17.65 percent to $0.20.  Overall, advances led declines 2 to 1 for the day.
