ExxonMobil (?!) launches B5 biodiesel in New Zealand; first biodiesel retail for Kiwis is via Mobil brand

In New Zealand, ExxonMobil became the first company to market biodiesel in the country by making a B5 biodiesel blend, from tallow, available in a trial marketing test in the  Bay of Plenty.ExxonMobil, which will market the fuel under its Mobil brand, has been criticized for being a laggard on developing bioenergy projects and investments. Gulf Petroleum commenced marketing E10 ethanol in New Zealand in 2007.
