In Washington, the Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO) hosted two public briefings on the status of advanced biofuel production, including top execs from Gevo, Mendel Biotechnology, Novozymes North America, DuPont Danisco Cellulosic Ethanol, Aurora Biofuels, Verenium, and Abengoa Bioenergy. The bioenergy leaders updated Congressional staff and reporters on hurdles to be overcome in making advanced biofuels widely available in the marketplace.
