Fort Dodge (IA) Ethanol owners reverse on “no layoff” pledge, according to Tribune, 78 percent of staff laid off or transferred

In Iowa, the new owners of the 100 Mgy Fort Dodge ethanol plant, according to the Chicago Tribune, reversed on a pledge to avoid layoffs while idling the plant, and laid of 56 of the staff of 90. Tat and Lyle said that fourteen employees will be transferred to other duties, while 20 will remain on staff to maintain the facility and prepare for restart when market conditions justify.
