International Grain Council says 2009 harvests of rice, wheat and maize headed downwards

In England, the International Grains Council said that it expects global grain harvests to be down in 2009, with rice down 60 million tons to 1.725 billion, wheat down 37 million tons to 651 million, and corn (maize) down 7 million tons to 775 million.
