Canada’s GreenField Ethanol to receive $72 million in federal incentives for plant improvements

In Canada, the GreenField Ethanol plant in Chatham, Ontario will receive $72 million in incentives from the federal government’s ecoEnergy for Biofuels program. The 35 Mgy ethanol plant, which also produces 24 Mgy of industrial alcohols, would contribute to an undisclosed improvement in the plant, and speculation pointed towards a cellulosic ethanol add-on for the facility.
