Green Tech America to market genetically-modified yeast that will reduce cost of cellulosic ethanol conversion

In Indiana, Green Tech America said that it has licensed Purdue University technology for making a gentically-modified yeast that will lower the cost of fermenting both C5 and C6 sugars, and according to the company will result in lower cost cellulosic ethanol made from corn cobs, wood waste and other agricultural resiudues. The company said it will license the yeast and provide technical support to its customer base.
