In Colorado and Califonia, two algae-to-energy companies announced key appointments with the tapping of John Brown as president of Bye Energy and Dheeban Kannan as senior research engineer at OriginOil.
Brown is a financial sector executive with a track record in aviation, while Kannan is a develop of a solid catalyst process for biodiesel production and has worked in photobioreactor design.
Bye is an integrator of clean energy solutions for aviation, while OriginOil is a developer of a process for oil extraction that bypasses the costly dewatering step for algae research.
