In Washington state, PetroCard and Waste Management announced the opening of the first Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Fueling Station in Seattle. The facility, operated by PetroCard, is the first public-access CNG facility in the city, and will serve the general public as well as Watse Management’s fleet of GNG-powered trucks.
There are now more than 120,000 CNG vehicles in the US, which typically offer comparable or better fuel economy than gasoline and is up to one-third lower in price, while reducing greenhouse gas emissions. CNG can be formed both from renewable and non-renewable sources.
