In Belgium and the Netherlands, Bio Base Europe launched this week, a joint initiative of Biopark Terneuzen and Ghent Bio-Energy Valley that will transform the Gent-Terneuzen Canal Zone into a development center for bio-dyes, bio-plastics, bio-chemicals and bio-detergents. The Bio Base Europe plan calls for a pilot plant for bio-based products and processes, and a training center for operators involved in bio-based projects.
