Van Ness Feldman publishes free, downloadable analysis of the EPA’s proposals for implementing the Renewable Fuel Standard
In Washington, leading energy law and public policy firm Van Ness Feldman has become one of the first firms to release an analysis of the impact of the EPA’s proposed regulations to implement the renewable fuels standard (RFS). The new program, known as RFS2, mandates levels of renewable fuels to be used by the nation’s transportation sector by 2022, with benchmarks for advanced biofuels, biomass-based diesel, and cellulosic biofuels.
Van Ness Feldman’s report summarizes the 600-page EPA proposed rulemaking, covering topics such as impacts to feedstocks, inclusion of lifecycle greenhouse gas analysis, treatment of existing facilities, and biofuel funding opportunities, and is downloadable for free here.
