In Wisconsin, Innovation Fuels is announced that it has commenced shipping biodiesel from its Port of Milwaukee renewable fuels hub and terminal. The New York City-based company acquired the Shell Oil Milwaukee terminal in early 2009 and developed a 312,000 barrel distribution capacity for biofuels on the 10-acre site.
According to the company, the presence of the new terminal has significantly reduced the cost of biodiesel for Great Lakes customers.
