In Croatia, Bionergija commenced construction on $40 million waste to energy plant in Vukovar. The combined heat and power project will be complete at the end of 2010 and will have a capacity of 10 MW of electrical energy and 11 MW of thermal energy. The plant will utilize 700 tons of biomass per day, and is part of an overall scheme to raise energy produced from biofuels to 20 percent of total energy supply by 2020.
