Biofuels Digest Index falls 1.76 percent to 55.84 as ethanol slips

The Biofuels Digest Index™ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, fell 1.76 percent to 55.84 as ethanol stocks slid. For the day, Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) fell 1.18 percent to 26.70, while the Andersons (ANDE) fell 1.44 percent to $24.59.  Among small caps, Aventine Renewable Energy (AVRNQ.PK) gained 30.08 percent to $0.16. Overall, advances and declines were even for the day.
