In Massachusetts, advanced biofuels developer Qteros announced that Dr. Anthony Tether, former director of the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), has joined the company’s board of directors. Tether served as DARPA director from 2001 until this year.
In addition, a former senior director of biofuels research and development at Verenium, Dr. Kevin Gray, will join Qteros as CTO.
Qteros is developing a one-step cellulosic ethanol conversion process based on the Q-microbe.
