We’re going to get off of foreign oil, and it’s going to open up all kinds of opportunities for all of us. In 2008 we spent $5 more billion for foreign oil. Just think, if we had half of this back here, how many more jobs it would create.”
President Barack Obama: “Advanced renewable transportation fuels will be one of the nation’s most important industries in the 21st Century. Combined with improved energy efficiency, biofuels are the primary near-term option for insulating consumers against future oil price shocks and for lowering the transportation sector’s carbon footprint.”
