Biofuels Digest Index gains 4.13 percent to 59.94, sets new 8-month high as economy heads for recovery

The Biofuels Digest Index™ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, jumped 4.13 percent to 59.94 to reach another eight month high.  For the day, Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) gained 3.16 percent to $28.39, while BP gained 4.81 percent to $51.88.  Among small caps, Green Plains Renewable Energy (GPRE) gained 41.59 percent to close at $6.23. Overall, advances led declines by 5 to 2 for the day.
