In Indonesia, Chemical Direct is reporting that, with the use of Au-Star paclobutrazol in a 5-6 year trial, it expects to increase the oil content by 1-2% beyond the current range of 26.6% to 35.5%. Overall yield is expected to be increased approximately by 75-100% every harvest over the duration of the trial.
The trial is expected to run well into full maturity being 5-6 years. Initial results from five trials showed a 34 percent increase in fruit quantity and a 24 percent increase in nut size, and a 3.52 percent increase in oil content.
