Biofuels Digest Index plunges 3.21 percent on oil, economy jitters

The Biofuels Digest Index™ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, plunged 3.21 percent to 54.60 as oil stocks tumbled.   For the day, Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) fell 2.67 percent to $26.75, while British Petroleum plumented 4.05 percent to $46.85.  Among small caps, Green Plains Renewable Energy (GPRE) fell 16.27 percent to $4.63. Overall, declines led advances 5 to 2 for the day.
