In Florida, New Generation Biofuels said that it has signed an LOI with Instituto Costarricense de Electricidad in Costa Rica to evaluate NGBF’s biofuel technology, including a test burn later in the summer. The company’s technology uses an additive blending process in an emulsion to convert vegetable oil to biofuel using water, oil feedstocks and proprietary additives. The process has a lower capital and production cost and no glycerine by-product.
