Two-year study concludes jatropha is rural income-generator for Philippines

In the Philippines, a two-year study by the University of the Philippines Los Baños-College of Forestry and Natural Resources, concluded that jatropha increases rural agricultural household income. 50 families and 15 sites in Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao were part of the study, which was supported by the Department of Energy, National Biofuel Board, Philippine Agricultural Development and Commercial Corp., Sugar Regulatory Administration, US AID and other organizations.
