In Ohio, Dayton Power and Light said that it has issued an RFP to purchase up to maximum of 15,000 tonnes of biomass-based fuels by the end of 2009, and up to 100,000 tonnes in the following five years. The company said that the RFP included the potential for biofuel for power gen burning made from wood and grass crops, food wastes, animal wastes, biodegradable solid wastes, or methane gas.
